A Wigan-based veterinary nurse has been named as the fifth recipient of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Golden Jubilee Award – an honour bestowed on one veterinary nurse each year in honour of exceptional achievement.
Two online training modules designed to provide veterinarians with a solid grounding in contemporary animal welfare issues have been launched by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association’s (WSAVA’s) Animal Wellness and Welfare Committee (AWWC) at the International Veterinary Students’ Association Conference, which took place from 22-24 April 2016 in Utrecht, Holland. Developed as a resource for everyday clinical use, they are intended to enable practising veterinarians around the world to expand their role as advocates for animals.
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has announced the results of the 2016 RCVS Council and Veterinary Nurses (VN) Council elections, which see four current and two new members elected to RCVS Council and two new members elected to VN Council.
