London Vet Specialists (LVS) has launched a comprehensive CPD support programme for the capital’s first-opinion clinics. The series of free talks and webinars commences on Thursday 25th February 2016 with an evening seminar on ‘Advances in Emergency and Surgical Treatment of Urinary Obstruction’. The event will take place at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park, NW3 and is open to all veterinary professionals.

New central London referral centre, London Vet Specialists (LVS) in Belsize Park, welcomed guests to its official launch party on 10th December, and formally opened its doors to clients. The centre, the first of its kind to offer dedicated specialist-level care to London’s veterinary practices, welcomed vets, practice owners and press along to the opening evening at XO Restaurant. 

The British Veterinary Association (BVA) and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) are inviting applications from members of the veterinary professions for the new Vet Futures Action Group, set up to drive forward the ambitions identified in the Vet Futures report launched at BVA Congress at the London Vet Show on 20 November.

Mrs Amanda Tucker, Head Nurse at The Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital in Maidenhead, Berkshire, has been named 'Vet Nurse of the Year Award' at CVS' Annual Awards.  She was presented with her Award at a gala dinner during CVS' annual conference, which took place at the Metropole Hotel in Birmingham on 6 and 7 November 2015. 

Next week the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) will be holding a free lunchtime webinar about its alternative dispute resolution (ADR) trial and its outcomes.
