Practice Matters

The RCVS have issued advice following a spate of reported burglaries on veterinary practice premises for the purposes of stealing controlled drugs and would like to remind practices of how they can best protect themselves through the safe and secure storage of controlled drugs.

I want to tell you a quick story about one of the local Veterinary Practices I act for. In order to save the most tax, they had been advised by a previous accountant to incorporate their practice (turn it into a limited company as opposed to a partnership or sole trade) and transfer the building that the practice operated from into the company too.

The Centre for Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science at the University of Nottingham has developed a new evidence-based veterinary medicine training programme, thanks to funding from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
